Flagship Trade Net

Bloksberg Inc. was established in Maryland USA in 1998, with the purpose of investing in technology, trade and consulting.
After purchasing Flagship Technology Inc. in 2000, Bloksberg became the operating company today known as Flagship Trade Net.

Founded in Maryland, Flagship Trade Net built upon our SHIP management systems developed in the UK, inventing solutions for paperless trade. Later, the company developed systems for Ocean- and Rail border crossings between Canada and the U.S. We continue developing our services to meet our client’s needs and satisfy updated regulatory requirements at all times.

Today, Flagship Trade Net is a leading global service provider to the shipping industry with offices in  Frederick, MD; Pittsburgh, PA; and Oslo, Norway. We continue to empower the international trade community through our F-applications (ACE and ACI) for filing with Customs in the U.S. and Canada, Import and Export, and (SHIPS) for Cargo Management (Booking, Documentation and Equipment control). We also offer global filing through our partners.

CEO Lasse Syversen

Today, everyone is talking about Single Window Integration with trade partners -- sharing data between applications in order to improve efficiency, cut costs, reduce delays and improve compliance with regulatory agencies.  Going forward, Flagship’s Cloud Service will secure your shipment from the data source through Customs to the final destination through a Single Window solution. The core of successful trade is the trust you have in your partners, and when it comes to Customs filing, Flagship represents that trust to the agencies. We are a pilot partner with Customs for Export filing, and we are well in the lead when it becomes mandatory, hopefully very soon.

Flagship Trade Net started to develop that close relationship with Customs -- both in the U.S. and Canada back in the 1980’s. But, even if our customers are developing new systems, they can still benefit from our expertise and experience. At Flagship, we are also launching new solutions using international standards as EDI and tools as API, and you will continue to benefit from our exceptional customer service which is there for you 24/7/365, whether you have filing issues or complex development work.

In 1986, two guys from General Electric in Rockville, MD, a pioneer from WilData in Oslo, Norway and a consultant in the UK had a dream to make International Trade paperless. This year we are celebrating our 35th Anniversary and we see the dream becoming a reality.  Like the founders of Flagship, the US and Canadian governments now have a goal to make all filings electronically to secure a climate friendly trade.

We are almost there! Now we want to share our vision with all of you, so please continue to ask us for help, and we will continue to ask you what you need through our Forum.
